The inspection was carried out via a quality assurance assessment and not by a physical inspection. The report quotes service user’s, social care professionals and staff’s opinions on the home via questionnaires.
Six staff returned their questionnaire and all said that they received all the necessary training and support to do their job. One of the staff comments was “We do our best to make sure everyone receives and gets everything they require with regard to care and catering”. Another said that “The home provides a safe and homely environment for our residents”.
Surveys were sent out to the service users and eight replied the responses were very positive about the care at Romans. Comments included “Friendly, cheerful and supportive staff” and “Care is excellent, good management and leadership. Home cooking with a professional touch”.
